About

I’m a circa 1974 New Englander who studied painting in Chicago and have been influenced by Edward Hopper and Horace Pippin. I like to mostly paint scenes of quiet moments that are sometimes from early morning runs, time in New Hampshire,  midnight snacks or simple observations involving shadow and light. Here and there I incorporate products or images from the 1970’s and 1980’s as they add a feeling of nostalgia for those who appreciate it.
Mostly working in oil paints, sometimes acrylics, my paintings strive to evoke similar feelings and thoughts I have while painting these scenes.
